Columbia Business School (2019)
Columbia Business School partnered with Dress Code to create a video campaign that focuses on a fresh approach of choosing an executive education program. The key balance to strike here was to create a visual language that is both sophisticated and friendly. My job as character designer was to create a cast that accurately reflected the diversity of the program and fit seamlessly into the captivating spaces of the business school.
Below are two character directions along with their distance treatments. The first direction embodies organic forms, while the second leans toward geometric shapes and clean angles. The client ended up choosing a middle ground between the two, as shown in the final style frames and video:
